The COCO fertiliser line, made distinctive by the colour brown, was developed for plants growing in coco substrate. Coco substrate is able to form compounds with nutrient elements, as a result of which these elements are no longer freely available for absorption by the plant. The COCO line consists of a buffered substrate, COCO and an unbuffered substrate, COGr. The latter requires somewhat more effort from the grower because it still needs to be buffered. Both growing methods require specific nutrients to stimulate the development of the plant.

COGR consists of a specially formulated mixture of coco husks, coco fibre and coco granulate. This medium offers the advantage that it is aerated, therefore, making it easier to control. This results in faster root development and a higher yield! COGR is compressed and dried, for easy transportation and storage. This makes it ideal for the more professional grower. Three revolutionary fertilising products have been developed especially for use with COGR: COGR Buffer Agent, COGR VEGA and COGR FLORES. These products provide the plant with optimal conditions for rooting, growth and bloom.

A sensational new organic coconut matter medium available in 50L bags and 1 metre slabs. Our enhanced coconut matter involves the addition of special elements for rapid growth and guarantees that the coconut matter has not been steamed or treated with methyl bromide, therefore retaining the special Trichoderma mould. Trichoderma is a natural plant booster and is scientifically proven to protect the plant against soil diseases. In fact most coconut matter is not suitable for horticultural use at all. It can contain high levels of sea salt and other damaging impurities. CANNA COCO on the other hand is certified for horticultural use according to strict RHP standards. Demand the RHP standard, it guarantees that it meets the highest chemical and physical demands and is free from weeds and pathogenic organisms. Growing in the new enhanced CANNA COCO will give you 6-10% higher yields over other coconut mediums and will also reduce your fertiliser use. Quicker and explosive rooting also assures the growth period can be considerably shortened.

Coconut matter has its own cation-exchange complex which needs to be catered for if you want to extract the maximum benefits from it. Therefore it is essential that you use a special coco specific nutrient. CANNA COCO nutrients are specially formulated to ensure that you obtain the greatest yields possible when growing in cocoponics. The COGR range is a proven system that is rapidly becoming the method of choice for growing in coco slabs in Holland. At the heart of this system are compressed un-buffered slabs of coco that require you, the grower, to soak with the special COGr buffering agent and then feed with a dedicated COGR Vega feed during the vegetative stage switching to COGR Flores during the flowering period. These nutrients contain added humic and fulvic acids for improved nutrient uptake as well as silicon for increased resistance to pests and disease.

For growers wanting to use this system in pots you simply buffer the slabs in the normal way and then empty the contents out into pots. Each slab makes between 21 - 25 litres of coco when decompressed. A 1 Litre pack of COGR Buffering Agent dilutes to 500 Litres, one application per crop. A 2 Litre pack of Canna COGR nutrients (1 Litre A, 1 Litre B) makes up 250 Litres of full strength nutrient. Universal formulation for hard and soft water.
